<p>but isnt a FA pkg for the student? It is money to cover the COA for the student. Yes, it assumes that the family / student comes up with the EFC first however they can. THEN the rest is what the FA pkg covers.</p>

<p>On EFC, realize that it is EFC calculated from an Institutional Methodology - meaning that NU can make up an EFC number, an estimated family contribution, that it determines using its own formulas and assumptions of how the family will make its contribution.</p>

<p>I was told by FAO that the link I provided above yields an EFC that is pretty close to the EFC that NU uses. Make sure IM is selected as the methodology.</p>
