it snowed last night, and its completely white outside
he he… anyway, 11 days left, possibly nine. is anyone else getting…ANTSY.?

I know! I had to take the SATIIs again today in case I didnt get into NU and there was no way I was driving like an hour in 5 inches of snow, so yeah I missed the test.

I LOVE THE SNOW. And someone said earlier it might even be just a week! I’m going nuts!

I love it too, but not when it prevents me from getting things done haha. this just means NU has to accept me.

Toughen up. It’s been snowing for 2 weeks in Minnesota and last year we got 9 inches one day and still had school.

SO SOON!! 9 days!!

Ahhhhhhhhh

I know none of us want to think about this, but what are everyone’s backup-plans if NU doesn’t accept you?

Madison or Michigan.

Loyola, just down the road.

@jkaufamn- what are u planning to major in?
@ Grace- I have also applied there! its close to my house too. what do u plan to study?

@ jkaufman. Well in illinois even 5 is a lot and my car is definetly not heavy snow ready. haha i’d rather miss the test then put myself in a dangerous situation.

My back up is U of I (urbana-champaign) or Syracuse in NY

Econ and Poli Sci (maybe some stats too).

Education and English

Also, I meant down the road from NU, not from my house. I’m about an hour and a half to the east of Evanston.

My backups are USC, Vandy, Wash U or UNC. My safety is Tulane, already got accepted/scholarship theree:)

Majoring in RTVF

Major: Dual Degree Music Performance/ Poly Sci

Backups = Vandy, W&M, Denison, Tulane. Will still apply to Duke and Georgetown but if I don’t get into NU, I doubt I’ll get into those schools.

And omg you guys I took the SAT IIs today too, and I ALMOST MISSED THE TEST. I swear, first big snow of the year and everyone acts like an idiot on the road. The plows are terrible at doing their job!

My daughter and her boyfriend have also applied to the University of Michigan. I went out on a limb…hope its good juju and not bad juju! Every year I buy a Snow Baby figurine for each of my children to represent them for that year. I ordered one for my daughter that is holding an envelope with a purple heart on it. I can’t tell you how much I hope they get in! I know you are all feeling the same way, hope everyone of you makes it!

my backups are Vandy, Bucknell, Lehigh, Emory and Tulane which (@weinstockxx) I already was accepted with a scholarship too!!

First post to this thread – DD also applied ED, Communications, Theatre hoping for future MT certificate or (if they add it) major. Her stats are decent, ACT 33, UW GPA 3.9, 7 AP ( all that are offered) plus 10 Honors, really poor SAT II (in 600s IIRC, took the wrong tests too early on bad advice from counsellors at poor HS) with strong ECs (including just names YoungArts Finalist). Her chances would be better if they auditioned for the theatre program… Any thoughts about the odds of her getting the happy e-mail?

best of luck everyone!! It sounds like NU would be lucky to have all of you!

Nice to see another mom! Her chances sound pretty good to me! My daughter only has a 30 on the ACT, little worried for her. She has 4.0 with 3 APs and the other classes are “advanced”. It is just so competive! But it is such a great school, I can see why everyone hopes to go there. Good luck to you!
