Ok from now on questions that have already been answered can no longer be asked. No more asking exactly how many days we will get our decision or how it’s gonna come, bc we know around when we should get it and its gonna be via email then mail. If you are unsure of something, just READ. There are 26 pages of conversation in this thread (most of which is pointless), but still a lot of questions have been asked and most of them have been answered. Now it is just a waiting game.

Also, it’s nice to have both parents and students on this thread, but these moms have to understand that asking other ED applicants questions about their S or D is completely ridiculous bc we really are as uncertain as you are about trends in admissions and things like that. And for kids who say that someone has a good or not so good chance of getting in is just stupid because we have NO IDEA. I have a 31 ACT score which is the average for NU students (right now) and Im okay with that. And I know I may be acting a little hypocritical, but regardless, whether you have a 28 or a 32 or a 36, thats not going to make or break the decision especially because that score is based of a test on a Saturday morning for 4 hours vs. your GPA which is accumulated over 4 YEARS. Yes, if your score is somewhat low and your GPA is decent along with average everything, nothing jumps out, so it’s gonna be tough to get in. But if everything else is really good, trust me the ACT/SAT score wont matter that much.

Listen, I am completely alright with people saying how the anxiety is totally stressful because I feel the exact same way as all of you. I am at the point where I can no longer focus on my schoolwork until I get the decision. And I’m sorry for my little rant, but I just feel it needed to be said, especially when someone asked about a post which they can refer to just 3 posts above it (and really isn’t important at all). As for this post, it is most likely a result from my stress haha so I’ll stop now. I’m not trying to berate everyone, I just wanted make a little PSA…that is all.

haha someone’s a little cranky. It’s okay, though. That’s the space I was in a couple weeks ago. Hopefully finally getting some answers and winter break will put everyone in a better mood, or at least a less crazy one. I think we all know everything that was stated above. It’s just nice to have someone to reach out to. I’m the only one applying ED to Northwestern at my school. :(

Yeah like i said…just a little stressed out. Anyway my two good friends applied ED too from my school. One knows he has like no chance of getting in but the other has a decent chance. But both of them are pretty chill and not into the whole chat room thing so they wouldnt join in haha. So it is is nice to talk to people stressing out like me bc although I feel I have a pretty good chance, I really have no idea what to expect.

no problem and im stressed out too. anyway most of what you said is true whether or not you said it cause you were stressed.

but anyway. we’re so close guys, let’s keep this together lol. and idk anyone else from my school that applied ED, but i feel like that may help. not sure though.

apt523, s my d. seriously dude. people just come here to talk, vent and ask questions. If it really bothers you, calm down, leave this thread for a few hours, take a walk. We’re all anxious about whether or not we’re getting into our first choice, which will no doubt change our lives. If people are really bothering you, you can block them.

Well now that S and D I understood, hahaha. Seriously, I did not know one person could dictate what we are and are not allowed to discuss. I was just looking for others to talk to who were anxiously awaiting the big decision. So, sorry to have been a bother, best of luck to you all.

Ok. i guess we have to break out kumbaya lol. and jarobamama we apprciate your commments and everyone is entitled to their opions or input. Evryone is just nervous, hopeful and stressed and i think its getting to be a lot lol.
Everyone should be allowed to say how they feel, no need to be harsh. :)

Wow, i understand we are all all anxious, as I said. It is just pointless for every day ask “oh when do YOU think we are gonna get our decisions?” No one knows! We pretty much all have a good idea, but that question has been asked literally 20 times and its just annoying.

Im not trying to bash people. You should read my post again and realize that I also love having people to talk to but without repeating myself over and over…

My desperate theory is that they will be so frazzled by the surge in applications that they will actually work extra fast and get the answers out sooner than anticipated.
