<p>The problem is is that I feel like I can adapt just as well at either school, and I was hoping for some specific, not necessarily "characteristic" of a school (in terms of sports, or social or anything like that), but rather something that one school had that the other didn't and that would help shift my decision a bit.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like the case so far.</p>
<p>These are pretty different colleges and, while I would personally prefer NU over Cornell, I think that patlees is giving you good advice. Go visit.</p>
<p>Also, just wondering, as a Miami resident, are you sure you're ready for either of these places? The weather in Evanston and Ithaca can be absolutely brutal from Halloween thru Easter.</p>
<p>So I've been told, multiple times. But since I'm definitely, under no circumstance, going to stay in Miami or Florida, I'll just have to adapt to that.</p>
<p>I don't Ithaca has more challenging winter. :)</p>
