Northwestern vs. Case Western Premed route

Hey, I'm a senior in high school about to make my decision about where i spend my next four years. I got into Northwestern, Carnegie, NYU, Boston College, and Case Western. As of right now I'm probably not going to go to CMU, NYU, or BC due to cost. Now I pretty much have to make a choice between Case or Northwestern. But I'm kinda at a crossroad with no clue which path to take. Im probably going premed. Here's my thoughts on the two schools:

Northwestern: I've been raised the stereotypical "asian" lifestyle. I'm pretty competitive and I don't want my hard work in high school to go unnoticed. Northwestern is rank 12 while Case is 41. Northwestern will prepare me better overall for med school but I'm not sure if I can maintain the high GPA med schools are looking for since the place is so competitive and runs on a quarterly pace. The thing that draws me here is that if this school doesn't prepare me for med school or I ditch that route, I still get a great undergrad education.

Case: People say that if you go premed, the undergraduate school doesn't really matter. All you need are high GPA, MCAT, good teacher rec's etc. At Case, I'm pretty sure I'll enter as one of the top students, so my GPA might be higher here than at NU. At the same time, one of my close friends might come here with me and it would be great to dorm together and just chill. The workload and stuff won't be as great as NU. I also got a hefty 4 year scholarship here which puts my family in a better condition. But the downside is that if I find out that I don't want to go to med school, Case doesn't really offer me that great of an undergrad as NU. What draws me here is the ease of life and fun I'll have with my friend. But I'm pretty much stuck with the med route if I go here.

So what do you guys think? If I went to one or the other, which one would be better for me in the long run, for med school? Is it true undergrad isnt really that important for med school? Should I opt for Northwestern or Case? Thanks.

Go with NU. I’m also planning on being premed and I also got in to CWRU and NU. CWRU’s not even on my final three list. NU has a better selection of courses and 84% of its premed people get into med schools the first time they apply. That’s pretty high.
If you don’t mind answering, how much is the difference between the financial aid deals?

half the total cost
