Which of the two is better? I basically just decided to start my list of schools for next year incase i don't get in this year. i've never really understood the difference between these two. i know northeastern is usually ranked somewhere around the cornell area, but what about northwestern? and what's better for a pre-med student with a psychology major?

que? 10 char

You have your rankings backwards:

[National Universities Rankings - Best Colleges - Education - US News and World Report](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/college/national-search)

NU (Northwestern) #12
Cornell #14
NEU (Northeastern) #96

They are very different schools, NEU is very big on internships, go to their website for a description. As far as how to choose an undergrad college for premed, go to the Pre-Med topics forum and read the sticky thread a the top of the page.

ok i was bout to say that but i just asked que? hehe. nwstern is amazing in med. moms colleague went to nwstern ugrad and hopkins med. but its hella cold there… like russia cold in the winter.

entomom, thanks for correcting me. thanks for the feedback. i’ll definitely apply to northwestern then :)

Northwestern is by far more awesome. It’s cold in both Boston and Evanston. Good luck on your transfer applications.

thanks! you too
if not this year, hopefully next year, now that i know what the process is like.
