Does anyone have any input as an incoming undergraduate business student? At NU I would study Econ though but both are in pretty much the same field. I also have other offers like full ride to Fordham and OOS UVA, but I think these two schools fit me the best.

NU is generally more prestigious outside the US and it also uses quarter system, so it can get really hard if you are not used to fast paced classes. Look at the world rankings and you can see that NU is ranked quite up there with UChicago while ND is ranked in 100+. But this is irrelevant if you have no intention of leaving the US post graduation. ND is more laid back and has a very beautiful campus. Both have great school spirit and both can get really cold in winter. So I guess it really depends on whether you like purple or navy blue and gold more. :P

@BearCub honestly though I visited last week and am doing more research and I couldn’t have picked two closer schools in everything except in terms of geography!

First of all two great schools. Congratulations and you can’t make a bad choice.

I think a big part of your decision should be if you want to be in a business school as an undergraduate or study economics. They are very different. An undergraduate b-school will offer classes such as finance, accounting, marketing, management. You will also take a business core which covers many of these disciplines, Economics is a liberal arts course of study. One is not better or worse than the other, but they are decidedly different paths.

You should also consider location – do you prefer being near a city or being more secluded? Also think about if you have a preference for a Catholic school (which likely requires a class or two in theology/philosophy) or a nonsectarian school? And think about if you have a preference for a semester or a quarter system?

If money is a consideration, a full ride to Fordham is a good option as well.
