Where should I go for pre-med??????

Stanford. yea.

Definitely Stanford--higher prestige and grade inflation.

STANFORD!!!!

that's like a no-brainer!

better climate, better environment, MUCH higher prestige. I don't know any reason why someone would turn down Stanford for ANY school!

Stanford!!

Depends on who you are. Are there reasons to be close to home, away from home? Would you take advantage of everything Chicago has to offer? The cultural diversity of Chicago, the incredible variety of things to do there. Is weather an over-riding concern? Are there secondary programs that Northwestern is known for that you would be interested? Classes in music, theater, opportunities in journalism, etc. Do you want to end up on the West Coast or Midwest? Both have advantages and disadvantages depending on who you are.

well I live the chicago suburbs and my brother will be in his residency in chicago while my sister in grad school, so thats the pull for me toward chicago. I haven't been with them for like 6,7 years or so. But I don't want to make a decision on the pure basis of where my family will be.

What do you want to major in?

stanford!!

I think I'll major in biology; is biology harder at either school?

Stanford's bio is ranked number one. They also got human biology.

Which one has given you a better financial package? is that a concern? also, I think you should go where you would be happiest - visit both campuses and see which place feels better and seems like where you want to spend 4 years. To judge on prestige alone is ridiculous - both are excellent schools. Both schools have excellent med school admission rates - but they are very different places. Visit and choose accordingly!
