Northwestern -vs- UMich Ross

How would you compare Northwestern's Econ program to the business school at the University of Michigan in terms of everything? Any comments would be appreciated.

econ is more practical than business overall, and a private school, especially one like northwestern, will have more resources available to its students than a large public school, where you would really have to seek them out

look at the specifics of both programs, it's really more of whether you want to do business as an undergrad or econ, because both are about as good as you can get in their respective fields. I started out as a business undergrad and i found it to be bleak, not intellectually stimulating, unpractical, and overall just a waste of time, you aren't really learning anything that contributes to a conventional "education" besides your (very minimal) gen-ed requirements. Personal opinion.

The only undergrad business program that compare or exceed NU is Wharton. If you wanna get in to business and u like mich, go there for sure. College should be about your preference. However, as far as names go, NU is far more well known and respected than Mich, Ross too

well, i'm already a student at ross and i was considering transferring to northwestern.

what don't you like about it/what do you like about it? i could tell you about northwestern
