Northwestern vs. Upenn

I'm torn between NU and Penn at the moment and really need some help in deciding. I'm interested in Political Science and Economics and I know that Penn has a great business program, but I applied to the college of arts and sciences not the Wharton school.
Would it be better to go to NU and apply to the 'Kellogg School' or go to Penn and try to get an economics minor from Wharton (if that's possible).
Any advice????

No minors or econ at Wharton.
You can major in econ and/or poli sci in the College of Arts and Sciences, and take many business classes at Wharton.

I think a key part of the decision would be Chicago vs. Philadelphia.

Thanks! I really don’t mind Chicago or Philadelphia so I guess I’m good.

But if I do take many classes at Wharton it wont show that on my degree. right?

Your degree won’t reflect it, but you can put your classes at Wharton on your resume if you think it is important. E.g. Bachelor’s in Econ., additional coursework in Management at The Wharton School. etc.

Oh o.k, thats good to hear. Thanks a lot

Choose the school where you want to live. NU is located in the wealthy northern North Shore suburbs. You can take the train to downtown Chicago. Penn is located IN Philly so it’s a more urban campus.
