<p>Hi guys I know I've posted recently but this is a different topic.</p>

<p>I'm currently a rising senior and with the year coming to an end I just wanted to get an idea of my chances at Northwestern. I realize that my credentials are well under the average. I was toying with the idea of applying ED somewhere and decided that Northwestern was one of the few schools I would go 100000% As a result I just want to get an idea of what my chances are of getting in ED. Also, would it be a better idea to apply regular decision so they can see my senior GPA? If things go well it will be a 4.5-4.7 Weighted and will greatly raise my current cumulative GPA.
Here are my credentials:
GPA: 3.8-3.9 (Weighted)
3.53 (Unweighted)
SAT: 2070 (First test taking it again in June) 740 Writing 680 CR 650 Math

President and Founder of Russian Club

FBLA National Competitor

Worked with assimilated immigrants into American society with the Jewish Vocational Services program</p>

<p>Hook: First generation American. </p>

<p>I will have taken 4 AP and 9 Honors classes</p>

<p>I'm from a very competitive public high school in NJ.</p>

<p>What do you mean first generation American? I don’t see that as a hook. Did your parent(s) ever attend a college anywhere in the world? Only first generation college student may get some help in admission, not first generation American.
Anyway, your uwGPA is very very low for Northwestern, while your SAT is near 25%. It would be a reach for you.</p>

<p>@billcsho I made a mistake by putting down hook, it’s more of a thing I plan to base one of my essays off of. And do you think if my SAT reaches around 2200 I’d have a better chance? </p>

<p>Sure if you bring up the SAT to 2200 would help. however, your GPA is still a problem. Northwestern has an acceptance rate of 12.9% this year. It is as competitive as many Ivies.</p>

<p>pretty big reach considering the weak EC’s. Get your SAT up and you’ll have a shot, though!</p>
