I’m going to be a senior next year in high school and I want to apply to Northwestern with the early decision application. I came to the USA sophomore year, would that make any difference to the decision? And my current u/w GPA is 3.75 and weighted 4.0… Also, I didn’t take a foreign language in high school since my counselor told me that I don’t need one since I already speak Arabic.
I took the ACT in April and did kinda bad, I got 27. I’m going to take it again on September 10th, but what if I don’t get my results before the deadline for the early application, November 1st, do I have to submit my April ACT score?
What do you think are my chances of getting into Northwestern?
With a 27? Very unlikely. Try to bump up to at least 33 for a chance, and 34+ for a decent chance as your GPA is not the best. good luck.
Your stats are pretty low for getting into Northwestern. A 27 won’t get you too far and your GPA is just okay. How do you think you did on the new ACT?
I did really bad on the first ACT I didn’t practice and many family issues… so I got a 27, but the one I took in June I feel pretty confident about it, at least a 33.
