I think I want to go to Northwestern and I wondered if it is known for anything besides journalism. Also, do you think I could get in:
-4.0 student
-taking max Ap and honors classes
-Swimming for over 13 years rec and 1 year round
-Top school in Cali which sends many students to ivies
-Active in mock trial, model un, etc.
-Estimated SAT 2100

Yea, a rock.

…But seriously, you seem to know very little about it. Why do you think you want to go there?

Northwestern is great in engineering, economics, journalism, physical sciences, and all in addition to having a decent athletics program. So yea there’s more to Northwestern than it’s journalism department. And the rock.

Heh, an ugly painted rock…

Also,

Kellogg Business School = best marketing MBA

^a top-10 law school too.

other than what beefs mentioned, northwestern got pretty decent social sciences, music, film, and performing arts programs. it’s relatively weaker in humanities when compared to most ivies, chicago, or stanford but it still has a top-20 english department and its undergrad german program is the leading one with DAAD and Fulbright winners.

hey, ucb, you notice that wildcats (3-0) > bears (2-1) at the moment? ;)

^ Falls off chair…uh huh…

Looks up Mildcats competition

Wow…impressive…Syracuse, Duke and Southern Illinois…
I’ll see how you play MSU for a true comparison…;)

at least we’ll be AWAKE.

^ LOL…lame excuse, I know…

It was Tedford’s fault…but they didn’t want to fly out on September 11th…;)

Can’t blame NU for scheduling the 'Cuse 6-8 yrs ago (who would have thunk that the 'Cuse would stink this bad).

Anyway, the 'Cats are 4-0 and if their O ever gets it together (the combination of a young O-line and a new scheme, has the once high-powered O all in jumbles; the strength of the team is actually the D thanks to a competent D co-ordinator), the 'Cats can go 5-0 or 6-0.

As for the Dookies, now that they have a competent head coach, they are not a half-bad team (plus, it looks like the LOWERING of academic standards has/is paying off on the recruiting front for the Dookies).
