So, I have committed to live at Northwood I next year. What can I expect? I would really appreciate any feedback, positive or negative. Thank you!

Are you sure it’s not Northwood III? Because that’s even worse than NWIII. I lived in Baits my freshmen year and met a couple kids from Northwood.

At NWIII, you get much more space than than any other freshman on campus. But you have to walk to the dining hall and you really have to be more active in meeting people, as opposed to typical dorms where you can just pop into people’s rooms and say hi. The place is pretty isolated. Be prepared to wake up an extra 30 mins for class than your central friends.

If you’re really in Northwood I, then you will be way more isolated than N3.

Yeah, it’s Northwood I. I’m a transfer student, not a freshman, which I suspect will be an even worse situation with the isolation when it comes to making friends. :/

It’s an apartment, not a dorm, so it will be like living off campus. The negatives would be that it’s far from the dining hall (Bursley) and central campus classes and that it won’t be as social as a residence hall. The positives are it’s very close to north campus classes (engineering, art, music, architecture),it’s peaceful, you get more space for your money and you aren’t forced to get a meal plan so you can eat at the many restaurants nearby on Plymouth.
