nosey dad keeping up on Dartmouth

for all you hopeful "10s" (thats the year you will be called
if you get in) and for parents of current 06s, 07s, 08s
and of course for the lonely empty nest parents of the 09s
here's a few tips to keep up with whats going on at Dartmouth

every morning i check web page Dartmouth College http://www.dartmouth.edu/ and look
at weather and the 2 web cams (the second one you can control sometimes) the news and events calendar (click on the date)

then after work i check out Dartmouth Online http://www.thedartmouth.com/
this is the daily newspaper on campus with amazing
writers..it is the oldest college newpaper!
(by the way you can get hardcopy newspaper shipped to your house
for a fee ..it has more of the local advertisements)

the Dartmouth Review
http://www.dartreview.com/
this is the conservative newspaper
check out the t shirts you can buy with
the old politically incorrect indian mascot

anybody want to add some more Dartmouth info web pages?

ps Sybbie719 can you "blitz" uh email me
isacc@aol.com

ok isacc

I sent you a blitz :)

You might want to check out www.vnews.com for a little town flavor. That's the Valley News, the local area newspaper.

if you like to follow football...www.biggreenalert.com

you have to subscribe, though

ill have more computer access to quench my thirst for dartmouth news

There is also a Dartmouth Livejournal community:

http://www.livejournal.com/community/dartmouth/

You can get your child to stand in front of the controllable web cam at a pre-determined time and actually "snap" his/her picture. Have him her stand in front of the bus stop in front of the Hanover Inn, go to the flash-based interface version of the camera and select the E. Wheelock preset.

You are talking about our kids aren't you? I had a quick flashback about those school pictures. I'd pay to see mine stand somewhere and have their picture snapped. we can always tie them to the bus stop and snap their picture

The opposite side of the review...the dartmouth free press

http://www.dartmouth.edu/~thepress/

And the Dartmouth Beacon:
www.dartmouthbeacon.com
A conservative slant, but pretty different tone than the Review. Has very high quality writing and interesting thoughts on current events/political situations.

thanks for the nespaper tips..really enjoyed the things to do as shmen in the dfp
bythe way shmen is freshman , future "10s" take note

heres one hot off the presses (just began in july2005) Dartmouth grads in entertainment fields
http://alum.dartmouthentertainment.org/television.html
