<p>trainrecc …how did not get into SD…LA might have a reason. But 2160 and 3.9 is pretty decent…what’s your unweight GPA…I think that might be the factor.</p>

i haven’t gotten anything from Irvine yet and it’s like my #1 school!!! and UCLA and UCSD both rejected me (I found out at about the same time too) SO SAD.
SAT: 1750
Math 2c: 640
Chinese: 800
GPA (10-11) : 3.9 weighted
GPA (9-11): 3.6 weighted
Chem AP Exam: 4
Do i stand a chance?!?! Do they look at weighted or non-weighted GPA? from only 10th grade to 11th grade or overall high school GPA???

<p>Yah. I hope we all get in. Rejected from UCLA and UCSD. UC Berkeley is also very highly. Only left UC Davis and UC Irvine.</p>
<p>If I get rejected from both, I will have no UC to go to. And it will be very depressing for me.</p>

SAT: 1700 (CR: 520, M: 710, W: 490 
) (No surprise being rejected from UCLA and UCSD)
SAT II: Maths II: 710, Chinese: 720, Chemistry: 730, Biology: 740
I graduated from Singapore so I took the A Levels. But I don’t think you will know much about A Levels. I did pretty alright.
ECs: Played Basketball
Leadership: Had a few minor ones here and there. But nothing major like captain or something.</p>
<p>Now I regretted not taking my SATs a 2nd time. I know I could have improved the score alot. And I also regretted not applying to more UCs. I hate the feeling of regret :(</p>
<p>iamnicolle - Oh, A grades from Singapore are really good I think, because from what I know from Hong Kong, A grades are great. I hope they’ll see that. You have a pretty good chance.</p>
<p>And same for me… I really want to make it in to UCI/UCD. So much rejection from CA public schools for me so far!</p>

<p>Guys… don’t forget that UCB, UCD, UCSD, UCI, UCR and UCSC will all be starting waitlists this year (as I was for my dream school UCSD). I think if you haven’t heard yet you’re qualified, it’s just that they don’t know if they have the space due to budget cuts and stuff. :(</p>

<p>@trainrecc…community college? that’s nonsense! with all due respect…I think your parent isn’t seeing what happens in the UC system each year…there’s always a student that gets into a high-tier university like SD and LA with low GPA and SAT, and there are those with…well…you know what I’m going to say…I know it’s unfair…but going to a “community college” after spend hours of work in high school and preparation for SAT is just ridiculous…think about it.</p>

<p>I don’t get why people who GOT ACCEPTED to San Diego still post comments in here…you guys got aceepted to a “Top-Tier” UC…this s for “Mid-Tier” UC applicants…who got rejected from both LA and SD in the past two days…just stop talking here…making us feel even worst!</p>
<p>@Churroke First of all, we’re allowed to. Secondly, I still want to hear from UCI because it is above UCSD in my preference to where to go for college. Third of all, maybe some of us choose colleges based on major not on ranking -.-.</p>
