Not All Honors Classes

Freshman Year:
Honors Biology
Honors Algebra I
Honors French II
AP Government and Politics
AP Comparative Government
On-Level* Language and Composition

Will not taking Honors Language and Composition freshman year ruin my chances getting into an ivy?

no, it’s fine

Anyone else?

omg you’re a freaking freshman. calm the frick down. my school doesn’t even offer AP classes until your junior year. As long as you’re challenging yourself with good classes that’s offered at your school, you’ll be fine.

I quote Ivy admissions officers when they say “We want to see you challenge yourself by taking the most rigorous courses, but it is important that you do well in them”

If you’re not gonna get your best, don’t push yourself. But push yourself if you can. And most of the time, with exceptions to lit and math, you don’t even need a million APs. Just do the ones that are interesting to you are are most likely going to be your major
