Ok, I know there are some people out there in my situation so maybe we can get some help.

I'm almost 30 years old (graduated HS 1996).

I'm married- wife still in school as well

High school: no extra curriculars at all, 2.3 gpa

I went to community college out of high school and blew it, 2.1 gpa I think.

2 years ago I found direction an went back community college, retook any class I made lower than a B and graduated with my Associates in Arts this December with a 3.75 gpa. I haven't made lower than an A since my return(3 semesters and a summer).

I am a resident in the state of NC and my AA degree comes from a NC ComCol.

I want to transfer to UNC-CH for the fall but worry about acceptance because Carolina is the only state school that offers my major and if I can't get in I'll have to change my life plan (and I'm getting to old for this crap).

if you've heard of anything similar, let me know.
