Not applying early and feeling guilty about it...

I'm basically the only one out of my (very smart) group of friends who isn't applying early action to some prestigious college. And for some reason I feel bad about it - as if this puts me at a level beneath the rest of them. I mean, I've heard that applying early doesn't necessarily make it easier to get in, and that you should only apply early if you're pretty committed to going to a certain school (which I'm not). But I can't help but feel like I'll regret it later...

What are your thoughts on/experiences with applying early action? Would it be worth it to try and finish everything this week by Nov 1, or should I just apply regular decision and make sure my application is perfect?

i honestly would not rush to get an application in early. just think, your friends who apply early and are admitted, don’t get the satisfaction of getting into a handful of schools, including safeties, the regular decision round and miss out then.

Are any of your apps for schools with rolling admissions? If so, you’ll hear soon about those.

It’s kind of late to do an EA. Would you be able to get a transcript sent and any teacher recs sent in time?

Peer Pressure is a childish thing. It’s time to put away childish things… :)
