Hello, I recently sent out my SAT scores, teacher recs and transcript to Princeton to apply early but taking a second look at my application, it looks incomplete and mediocre. So I have decided not to apply early, but will the stuff I already sent out be considered as an early application and therefore void me for regular decision? I have not submitted the Common App or Supplement yet so nothing I sent says I am applying early. Any help would be appreciated.

If you do not send your common application, you are not counted.

“will the stuff I already sent out be considered as an early application and therefore void me for regular decision?”

Since this defies logic and your hope is that Princeton is a well-run, logical and rational organization, I think relaxation is called for.

When they got your test scores, etc., they opened a file for you. They will keep that file open through the application season.

If you had filed your application in time for EA and indicated that you were applying EA, then they would have evaluated your file in time for EA notification.

Since you’ve decided not to do that, they will keep your file open until the RD deadline has passed. When your application and supplement come in, they will add them to your file.

They don’t give a rodent’s behind that your SAT scores, recommendations and transcripts are already there, and your Common App and supplement are not yet, nor will they care in the winter, when they’re reading your application for RD notification.
