Not applying ED but want to go

I’m not applying Brown ED becauase I want to have my options open. Brown is either my first or second chocie (with Columbia) and I would love to get in. Since I am not applying early, will it be that much more difficult than getting in regular decision? In other words, if I don’t get in regular decision, that must mean that I wouldn’t have gotten in (deffered or denied) if I had applied regular decision?

I am also applying to the PLME program (but I won’t get in) so I hope that doesn’t hurt my chances of getting into the college once I get denied from that program…

you mean, if you don't get in regular decision, that must mean you wouldn't have gotten in had you applied early?

check the Early Decision vs Regular thread in this Brown forum. I posted 2 posts with Brown specific ED vs regular results, from a major research report published as a book, The Early Admissions Game.

My son applied RD and was accepted to Brown and PLME. I believe you must be accepted to Brown undergrad before the PLME decision is made.

You should sound confident in your abilities when writing your app - convince Brown that you will be an asset to their school and PLME.

No, I don't believe that is the case. If you read the application, for the PLME section it gives the option of still being considered for the Brown undergrad applicant pool. I think the decisions are separate.

I see. I was under the impression that one did not mean the other.
