@KevinRMartin what about TAMS students from UNT, is there anything different regarding how they process their applications, probably not but thought I would ask you.
@amottmers TAMS students are not ranked; hence UT does not auto-accept anyone from TAMS. You must apply as if you will not be auto-accepted into UT (a number of people at TAMS each year actually are NOT accepted to UT due to a low GPA since TAMS is a harder than public HS). In general, if you have a GPA >= 3.8/4.0, a decent SAT score (above 2200 - IDK about new exam scoring), and ECs that are not nonexistent, you’re fine.
@doctorgirl Thank you, I know TAMS students are not ranked, my son is a TAMS student, you are right it is harder then public HS since its college and not high school, that is why I asked the question to Kevin. But like I said they probably do not treat them any different then other seniors that apply but I thought I would ask him.
@KevinMartin Thank you for the information regarding admissions. Are you aware of any data set pertaining to the college of education - for those wishing to pursue certification to teach? Also, I’ve noticed Engineering, Business majors receiving notification of acceptance - is COE relaese letters later in general? TIA!
