**doing a group interview thing for cornell in like 2 weeks

it depends on where you live...

I was contacted for my Duke interview on Saturday and will be having it this Saturday.

I think it does depend on where you live, as well as how early you apply in some cases.

So if I live in SoCal, would that mean I won't be interviewed for a while?

woodchuck: the nature of schools that conduct alumni interviews is completely dependent on many variables -- 1) organization of local alumni group 2) number of volunteers available.

What applies to one school won't hold true for another. When I was accepted by two Ivies, one never even offered an interview to me. I later found out that the local alumni group wasn't very large. That's all.

I suspect you may be contacted for SOME interviews. Some schools may not have the volunteers necessary to conduct for all applicants. It's random that way. Don't read into it one way or another.

"Omigosh: I got the Princeton interview but never heard from Dartmouth! Does it mean that Pton wants me more than Dartmouth?!?"

No it doesn't.
