Not doing a sport after you said you were going to do it on college application

<p>a couple weeks ago I put on my applications I plan to participate in track this spring, but because of some difficulties I might get a job instead to start saving money for college expenses. Will it be okay if I don't compete in track this spring even if I said I would on the college applications?</p>

<p>Yeah it’s fine. They aren’t going to check in to see if you ran track. </p>

<p>It is fine, but to be on the safe side, I might update your colleges and inform them that you are getting a job instead of running track. Some even might view a job more impressive than running track </p>
