Okay, so I'm a junior currently and I'm only taking 3 AP tests this year. Bio, Gov, and Psych ( self study). I took apush last yr and got a 4. Is this really bad for ivy leagues? Im taking 5 aps next yr. Do they look at senior year classes or do they even care?

Yes, colleges care about your senior classes, and they will judge you based on how many AP classes there are at your school versus how many you took, not how many other kids took.

They will definitely look at your senior classes.

If your school offers a lot of AP classes, then take them. Colleges look at the rigor of your classes within context of your high school and the classes they offer. My school, for example, limits the number of honors and AP classes you can take, but I am taking the most rigorous schedule possible. This will be mentioned on the transcript/ college application so the colleges will know.
Basically, take what is available for you and push yourself.

And if you can take only three out of many possible AP courses, taking English Literature, Calculus BC, and Physics C will look better than taking Human Geography, Statistics, and Environmental Science.

3 for Junior year is plenty. Senior year is when you really load up on AP’s.

^Actually, Junior year APs are very important also, probably more so. For senior year, only 1 semester is even considered (they still see the classes you take 2nd semester, though).

No, your AP rigor isn’t bad at all, in any context, really. You’ll be fine. Just focus on doing well in the exams.
