<p>Ive sent in many of my apps and im applying for ChemE. However, I hear its a pretty small/rare branch of engineering. Now I'm def going to study ChemE in college, but is it true there are less ChemE majors (just curious) than lets say mechanical or electrical?</p>

<p>Yep, by far. In fact, probably by almost by an order of magnitude.</p>
<p>Here is the employment data. Granted, that's not quite the same as the data regarding majors, as some people might take an engineering job in a field different from what they majored in, but I doubt that the results would change much. </p>
