1) I have more academic honors than they have spaces. One idea I had was to include two unrelated honors in one line: "National Latin Honor Society; National Honor Society (two separate honors, similar structure)". Is this a bad idea?

2) I'm taking 9 courses (8 in school + 1 outside), but they're only letting me list 7.

3) The supplement asks for 6 academic courses but I'm taking 7 (6 in school and 1 outside).

4) I'm taking two advanced science courses, but it only has 1 space for a science.

5) Common App explicitly states they only want PAID work experience. How do I include my unpaid internship then?

any help would be awesome because I'm Early Decisioning so my deadline is in less than 2 weeks.

1 - 4) Add under additional information. The Common App states this pretty clearly.

5) Add under extracurricular activities.

Thanks for responding so quickly

But for me I don't think this is possible because

1) I've already filled up my extra curricular activites section

2) the additional information section has to be under 1 page and unless I write in pt. 7 font, I'm not going to be able to expand on my extra curricular activities (they are pretty strong, so I think I need to)

Any other advice?

You have to decide which academic honors you think are most important; the same with extracurriculars. For example, I'm in National Honor Society, and I'm not putting it down because at my school it's a joke; I'm also not putting down Quiz Bowl, because we suck and I never go to practice.

Also, re your additional information section, remember that colleges have thousands of applications to read and they are probably not going to have time to or want to read a whole single-spaced page of "expansion" on your extracurriculars. Really they don't want you to expand beyond the info they ask for on the CommonApp extracurriculars section itself, and you may come off as arrogant if you ask them to read sooo much.

K, thanks for the help

Maybe I'll just expand on my two most important extra curriculars and find a way to include all this other stuff

When we put random info (i.e. extra ap tests, etc) in the additional info section, how do we format it? If I'm attaching a resume, should I just type this additional info below the resume in the word document?

Also, in the additional info section, it says "Upload Document" -OR- write in the space below. I understand it says "OR", but is it possible to upload a document AND write in the space below? Or once you upload a document, does that space below go away? THANKS.
