I can't believe I'm saying this, but I simply can't find enough space to properly explain my ECs. The common app does give me space but there, I can barely find enough space to even give a cursory description, much less my achievements or duties within the activity. I am writing a resume, but I'm afraid that it will be two pages long, which admission officials won't really appreciate. I think I could take less writing to explain my ECs or awards, but then I'm afraid the reader won't understand what I'm talking about. Can anyone give me help about this?

Oh, to have your problems…

Prioritize. Write what’s most important. And if it’s like Speech and Debate—highlight your most noteworthy accomplishments…

Being concise in describing your ECs is also a good exercise.

Ironically, I think I can describe Speech and Debate in the least words since everyone knows specifically what it is, even though I spent the most time in it.

Same problem here. Just applied to a notoriously EC-centric school. I felt like I didn’t have enough but their application could only fit five ECs. Was a pain to shorten everything down to the basic necessities. Hope it’s alright.
