Not exactly a 'chance' thread....

But I'm hoping to get into Penn State. I just finished my sophomore year so I obviously won't take my SAT's till next year.

-3.5 GPA (3.6 in freshman year, 3.4 sophomore year)
-Swim team (all 4 years most likely)
-Newspaper staff for (3 years most likely)
-In-state student
-Parents didn't go to PSU, but my brother is about to graduate from there in December

I was in National Honor Society last year, fell out of it this year, but I'm striving to get back into it for the next two years.

If I can keep that 3.5 GPA up along with every thing else, how great of a chance would I have of getting into PSU?

You need to definitely keep your grades at a 3.5 or higher to have a good shot at getting accepted. I would just try to get your gpa as high as possible, since GPA is 2/3 of the decision. Best of luck.

i think instate your fine. and scoring well on the sat and keeping that 3.5 will help you even more

Thanks for the info guys. I assumed that if I keep my 3.5 up, I should be good but was just wondering.
