Not exactly common app question but ?

Im a non-US citizen (wasnt born here) and moved to america when i was 6. Im fluent in english, and i was wondering if i HAVE to take a english as a foreign language exam? I just read about these exams for the first time and i would not be able to take it before early decision comes around if i had to. Im sure if its mandatory, but im just checking cause northeastern uni needs a "English proficiency report". Is this the exam or something else? I got a 33 on the ACT english so im sure that kind of helps me out eh?

thanks

Don’t worry about it. I can’t imagine that they would expect you to take this exam.

hopefully this will help…i indicated that english was not my primary language on my commonapp [although i was born here], & when i checked the status of my application on the northeastern website, it said that an english proficiency test was still required of me, too. but then i called their office of admissions & the guy told me that as long as i got >550 on the SAT writing, it would automatically wave that requirement. i’m sure they have a similar policy for the ACT, but u can just call their office to make sureee :)
