Not Getting An Invitation Does Not Mean Rejection

i think it's true that not everyone gets the invites because if you look, there;s only about 100 people on the forums and who actually go online and on these forums.. and maximum number of them got it so we thinkthat everyone does, but in real.. there's like 50,000 applicants, and if even 10,000 get in, not all 10,000 got their letters i believe. and i'm sure NYU wouldn't invite all the 10,000 students in one day lol.. there's various other university days and all that stuff over the next months so.. don't be freaked!

i was, until my friend whose in NYU told me about this. =)

NYU says they send the invites to help kids plan flights, etc...so my guess is they don't care so much about the "lesser" students flights

every other school my D got into, each and every kid accepted got an invitation to admitted students days

and if they are trying to spread out the invites, then send out the cards at the same time, but gee, have different dates on them, becuase if they are truely inviting all students to an admitted students day on different weekends, then they have to print those post cards up anyway, so why not put them in the mail at the sane time?

History does not match what they claim

^You took the words right out of my mouth, citygirlsmom. I tooooootally agree w/ you! :)

i don't understand why they do that also..
but this really put me off towards NYU.. i didn't get an invite and it's already making me feel really bad that i got rejected, and I don't even know that for sure. i wonder why they do that. because it's a really bad idea. it makes some other people feel that they're being rejected, when maybe they arent
it's really dumb, and really made me mad!
