So i didn't get an email. Does this mean I'm rejected?

no it does not, stop getting worried over nothing.

I was invited to compete for the regents’ scholarship few months ago, but I did not received an engineering likely letter.

our chance is pretty gloomy right now… why would they send it to some people, but not other? > <

Just FYI, people. I got the likely letter. They only send it to the top of the engineers admitted, but many still get into engineering w/o getting the email.

I don’t think the likely letter is anything more than an ego boost to certain exceptional applicants that the university wants to woo. That said, even though I got the email, I don’t like the concept of likely letters. I can only imagine the stress that the other applicants, especially the prospective engineers who didn’t get the letter, must be feeling. Doesn’t look pretty.

^especially because they have to agonize for atleast for a week until decisions come

writhing in agony in a corner
