Not getting in .....

I'm so stressed out about the application that I am literally prepared for the rejection letter. It's gonna be bad.

dont worry; when the rejection comes, u'll be better prepared to take it

Lawl! That Was Good!

Roflcopter!!!!

Think of all the time, money, and work wasted if the letter ends up to be a rejection.

princeton's my last college decision, and my only one that i'll be checking through snail mail. I hope it's an acceptance.

Princeton and many other competitive schools reject 90% of their applicants. Why would a rejection letter come as a surprise? I'd rather be rejected by Princeton than an in-state "match" school which has already happened to me!

And remember: Princeton rejects about 93-94% of their regular decision applicants.

I am preparing myself for the rejection. Oh yes, rejection here I come. I wish this weren't my last decision :(.

I didn't mean to be condescending... because I'm definitely going to be rejected!

i'm just hoping for a waitlist :(

What are you people SOOOOOOOOOOO worried about?

Lay out your stats and lets predict....

Son's stats: (applied for CS/engineering)

2350 SAT I (800V/790M/760W)
800 Math IIC; 800 Physics; 760 Chem
3.9uw/4.6w
- 12 APs plus two more senior year
- National AP Scholar after 10th grade
- numerous math and CS awards
- US patent on computer controls
- Two research project at CMU on CS/robotics
- Homeschooled

Insecure101: don't you think that most of the applicants on this board are sort of equally likely to be admitted? I don't know if the stats will be all that different..CC weeds out the average kids pretty effectively by intimidating them into not posting. Of course, I'm still interested in reading your opinion.

I would be surprised if your son didn't get in....plus he's asking for a major (CS) that isn't highly represented at Princeton.

I wouldn't be worried if I were you.

looks good reasonabledad.

im also going into computerscience

amnesia: you applied as well? RD round?

its suprising to see that even the competition for computer science is tough....at a college known more for liberal arts

I'm kinda expecting it too... I recently got waitlisted at Gtown and Cornell lost my Guidance Counselor's report and withdrew my application, so I'm having a bad year. Well, if all ends terrible I'll just go to Happy Valley...

yeah, but i'm not sure. i have some relatives at other ivy leagues close to it, so princeton would be nice...

Is Engineering well represented at Princeton? Does it help to be a Chemical Engineering major?

Not really, expecially not ChemE because its the major most engineers in Princeton go after.

And by the way- your prospective major won't affect your admissions a tad bit. It won't make your application...trust me.

Well, I'm sure not all of you will be disappointed, though I am expecting a rejection myself.

Wow, I see, a bunch of people is going to join my rejection club :)
