Hi guys. I know a fair amount of people who were in my room who got their ACT scores back from June 14th and I didn’t. Other kids in my testing center also did not get theirs back, just not my room. Other kids around the area also didn’t get there scores back. I’m really nervous: I think I went up at least 5 points because I really studied hard and I was just so done with this dumb testing I wanted to get through it. I’ve also heard they flag kids for getting higher scores and accuse them of cheating??? That’s terrible honestly but I’m getting nervous. I’m the kind of person who thinks things way to hard, like if I have a headache I think I have a tumor. I do have terrible anxiety, can you guys calm me down.
Did you take the writing?
Yes but so did the people who got their scores back. I don’t understand why some people got their scores and others didn’t.
ACT administers tests on specific days across the country to thousands of students. Although response sheets are shipped together to ACT, they may not be scored together and, even with machine score, it takes time to do the whole lot As you might expect, delivery of boxes with test forms varies with distance and weather and all those other reasons that slow mail and package delivery. Hence, the range in which students can get score reports. Some will be among the last to get their score reports and that could include you. Consider this practice for waiting for letters with admissions decisions.
ACT employs really nice, helpful people. Look at the ACT website to locate the contact for your problem. If your scores haven’t arrived and it’s after the last date, call them. Be sure to have relevant numbers at hand such as personal ID, site ID, date of test and whatever else you have. Just call them!
