Not going to prom?

screw prom, its whack as hell. I wanted to go last year but couldnt find a date for my life. So I said to hell with it. this year im not even going to bother. just do something else and save money.

I'm not going to my senior prom because I have a robotics competition in St. Louis the next day.

Yeah, I'm cool.

I'm not going for religious reasons....yeah...

I hate Valentine's Day more than anything, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the effort my BF put into making it special for us. Same is true of prom. Sure, when you think about it (buying a dress, finding a date, shaving your legs, picking an updo, dancing with sweaty schoolmates) it doesn't sound fun. That doesn't mean it's not! (Heck, I spent all yesterday walking around historical Boston sights--lame--but because of the people I was with, I had a blast). Ask a guy friend and then it's not a big deal. You should go to senior prom!

You should go. I just asked my date today and I'm looking forward to it. It seems like a lot of trouble but I think when you look back on it you won't regret it. Heck, at least if your children ask about your prom when it's their turn, you'll have some stories to tell.

I went to prom last year without a date and it was actually pretty fun. I didn't spend money on anything except my dress and shoes.. and a Hummer limo. No regrets though. I got on Prom Court and got to dance about and chill with my friends. Haha.
Really, go to your senior prom.

I didn't go to my prom.

I stayed home and had an epic time slaying dragons in an online game :).

ASL?

Nah jk I have somebody I'm asking already...

Well, I think you really should go to prom. I was in a similar situation too. I worried about not going to prom because I dont have a date since my junior year. Now, I know that you don't need a date to go to prom. I'm probably going to go with one of my friend, hey at least its better than not going at all. Prom is a once in a lifetime experience, its not like you can go to prom in college. My teacher told me that people that go with dates to prom end up not having fun at all, its MUCH more fun if you go with a big/small group of friends! =] My prom is on May 21st..but im shopping for my dress already. Don't worry, if you end up not getting a date....just go with your close friends. Trust me, its much better because many couples that go to prom together end up having lots of conflicts and it just ruins your prom.
