I go to a high school in Illinois and I'm a senior. As my college applications process starts, I'm in need of advice. I did really bad in high school but I want to go to a 4 year college

Here's some Info:

G.P.A: 3.194/5.0
Class rank: 262/340
ACT Composite: 20

Courses and current grade :

AP Chemistry- A
Geography- A
AP Calculus- A-
French IV- B
English- A

Although I'm scoring okay grades right now, during senior year, it's still not very important. I was hoping someone could tell me if I have a chance into any good college in Illinois, and if so, which ones.

I've applied to purdue and im even starting to get anxious about that decision although i doubt i'll attend, you could apply to u of I-urbana b/c you get preference b/c your in state but i still think chances are pretty slim... as far as purdue goes i think it is a bit of a reach.

oh really? princetonreview.com said Purdue was a safety for me, and U of I-urbana champaign was a Reach... but I don't know if the site is accurate

On princetonreview.com I subtracted my current G.P.A. on a 5.0 scale, minus 1.0...I don't know if that is the correct conversion, but that's still what it said

UIUC has an ACT cutoff around 24 or 25. It is strictly by-the-numbers to get in. UI-Chicago is definitely easier, but would still be a reach. IIT is another reach - it's a tough school. In the Chicago area check out Loyola (large) and Dominican (small).

Also, look at the secondary state system - Eastern, SIU and Northern, which is the best of the 3, especially in Business. Have you seen a college counselor at your school?

my counselor told me to check out Northern Illinois, I might have a chance into it, but i still want to apply to other colleges incase I don't get in...any other opinions on where I should apply?

I put in my practice SAT scores on princton review...which was 1850 for the new SAT, and it said that columbia was a good match for me...I think that it is absolute crap.
