I am currently an intern, but I'm not enjoying my current internship. I am seriously thinking of applying to another place--do you think that's possible this late in the summer?

Im in the same situation Im not enjoying my internship also and I really want to quit the problem is that I need the internship for a college credit. The company is small like 4 employees and its an n Hr./Sales/ web design company and I cant see the company around in 5 years because of the lack or revenue. If I could quit my internship I would also remember its just an Internship and youll be finished soon.

Welcome to the real world.
They call it “work” because it isn’t fun all the time.

Are they paying you? Unless this is a truly toxic situation,
my advice as a parent, a former employee, and a current employer,
is to suck it up, work hard, figure out what you can learn at this job
and hang in there for the next six weeks.

I am particularly opposed to the unpaid internship at a for-profit business however,
especially if you are doing work the firm would normally have to pay for.

Never quit an internship, unless it is truly required. Quitting, because you aren’t happy with it, is not a sufficient reason. It not only makes you look bad, but it also makes your school look bad as well. I was in the same position about a year ago, but you know what I did? I toughed it out, went to work early, did the work I had to do, and was offered a full time position, as well as letters of recommendation. My advice is, complete it. In this world, you truly need a thick skin to survive. If not, you will be swallowed alive whole. Every experience, whether good or bad, is a helpful one.
