Not happy with my SAT...

I took the SAT for my first time in mid junior year without any prior studying and ended up with a not so great 1680. I self-studied my vocab a little and got a 1900 the second time around.

However, my goal is to be in the 2000-2200 range. Do you think this is possible anymore? I already raised my score 220 points..raising it 200 more points just seems impossible for me.

If anyone could recommend anything to help me study or any tips that would be great.

Thanks so much!!

It seems that you didn’t study much. If you study mroe you will do a lot better!

Get some review books and take practice tests A LOT. That is the best way to practice and improve. You get more comfortable, get experience, and can see what you got wrong immediately so you can build from your mistakes.

Just as a warning, for most people, getting 2200+ requires a lot of preparation. You are only going to get out of this the amount you put in. And realize that this test is a significant part of admissions. If you work hard now, the rewards will be great.

Well I’m not worrying so much about admissions because in Texas I get in by being top 10% or 8% of my class. What I’m worrying about are scholarships.
