I am one of those who is still waiting for the documents to be processed - I uploaded on 2/12. I have received two reminders from one university but not from any of the others that require IDOC. Should I be worried that they are not interested in DD? Or could they be a little more patient (fingers crossed)?
FWIW, I uploaded my docs to IDOC on 2/13 and am still waiting for them to be processed.
I noticed a few days ago that IDOC posted an alert that read, “Processing is currently taking 5-8 business days from upload. Schools are notified of your upload date and utilize that date in determining if you have met their deadline.” Do these sorts of delays happen frequently?
Deadlines are looming and everyone is uploading at once - so of course there are delays!
Consider yourself lucky. Prior to this year, all IDOC documents had to be submitted by mail. Yes, postal mail - that was the only means of submission IDOC accepted!
I understand the delay factor. I was just curious about why only one college seemed to be impatient about it.
I think the college can’t see that you uploaded it and IDOC is the bottleneck. They are just checking out of courtesy in case you haven’t uploaded it.
@vaboots - Each school is different. Some send out notices about everything, and others you never hear from. Don’t read anything into it.
@vaboots - that one impatient college is more interested in you, else why do they bother?
@calcorn - that’s what I’m hoping. @dodgersmom - I seem to be reading into anything I can. I think the waiting is getting to me. How will I make it another month?
Don’t read into it. We traded several emails with the financial aid office looking for our stuff and then my D was deferred from the school. It doesn’t mean anything, just that the aid office is trying to get their ducks in a row so they can sprint when the accepted names are handed to them.

Oh, it’s been chocolate for a while.
