Not important, but curious

Do all BS have room inspections? Is it daily, weekly, monthly or by smell coming out of the room?

62 viewers but no responders? One answer would be great!

There are regular room inspections - weekly or biweekly I think. You get a restriction if your room fails the inspection.

What does a restriction mean? Is that when you have to come to check in early?

Do they check to see if the room is neat or if the clothes are folded nicely and put away?

At my d’s school, they do inspections often. Kids don’t think it is a big deal. They are looking for a made bed, clothes off the floor and general neatness. They consider your room to have two sides; yours and your roommates. Your roommate could “fail” while you passed. Or vice versa. You can fail a few times before they make you do a big clean up.

At my son’s school it is weekly. They do not check how neatly their clothes are folded, but as others said, bed made, general neatness of room not too horrible smell. “restriction” would vary by school.

Thanks everyone!

inspections take on an additional significance just before long breaks. Refrigerators should be cleaned out, cereal, snacks, stored securely away to prevent little “uninvited guests.” They may also inspect to see if some electronics, power strips are disconnected for safety purposes.

Your room will be a tiny space. You are going to want to keep it organized just for your own comfort.
