Not including AP scores with college app?

Will high tier schools (i.e. Georgetown, its peer institutions, or the Ivy League) look down on an applicant who has taken a rigorous high school schedule- including multiple APs- but who does not submit AP scores for admissions consideration?

Does not submitting affect the chance of acceptance? Can corresponding SAT II scores be submitted in place of AP scores?

For those higher tiered schools such as the Ivy Leagues, SAT IIs are REQUIRED.

However, AP scores in the admissions process are completely optional.

I know that SAT IIs are required, just curious as to whether they would suffice in place of AP scores (which I also thought were optional, but thank you for confirming that). Is there no adverse affect, then, for withholding scores? Do the majority of applicants send the scores anyway? Are they considered with any kind of weight if they are sent?

AP scores are not officially reported until you actually have been accepted and have chosen where to attend. You can self-report your scores as you wish.
