Not Ivy Obsessed Strong Student... CHANCES?!?!

So CC definitely makes you think that everyone else applying to your school is valedictorian, class president and cured cancer, which can be quite overwhelming... So, chance me?

Thoughts?

Reaches: Tufts, Gtown, WashU
High Match: Northwestern
Matches: USC, UMiami, Brandeis
Safety: GW

Stop posting your chances thread over and over again.

for northwestern, what's your ACT? i believe they require the ACT and then SAT II's or something absurd like that. however, my friend got rejected from northwestern and asked them to appeal the decision. they replied with a letter stating that her act score, while exceptional, was rather middle of the road for northwestern. she got a 32.

The middle fifty for ACT scores at Northwestern is 29-33.

So it is kind of middle of the road for them. Odds are your friend had very little else to recommend her and/or it was just a really tough year.

You can take the SAT or the ACT for Northwestern. But some programs require SAT IIs.

I’m taking the ACT in a few weeks, and if I do really well on that I’ll send that instead of my SAT. Also planning on retaking the SAT in Oct.
