When I completed the FAFSA back in March I put that I was going to live on campus. I have now decided that I am going to live at home so am I required to correct the FAFSA and change where I am going to live?

Yes! Living at home changes your cost of attendance, so the financial aid office needs to recalculate your aid!

I don’t think you need to change FAFSA - your EFC will not change anyway. You need to notify your school though as they may need to recalculate your aid based on a lower COA. Ask them if they want you to update your FAFSA before you change anything…some schools seem to use the last correction date as the filing date and this could put you out of the priority filing window if you’re a returning student!
