didn't make elc what do i do now??????

What’s ELC? It sounds like NHS.

Do what I do when life’s got me down.

Buy some beers, look at old pictures of your ex-girlfriend, drive to a bridge, and stare at the dark, deep depths of the churning river below you.

(Please don’t do this. I was just kidding.)

Does ELC have anything to do with the UCs by the way?

ELC is for the UC system. It is Eligibility in the local context, meaning that your gpa is in the top 4% of ur high school. It also means that you are guaranteed a spot in at least one UC.

To be honest, it doesn’t really matter. The UCs they guarantee are Merced (which as a 90% admittance rate anyway) and Riverside (i think). So if you have good stats you’ll get into those anyway. You dont need ELC to go to a UC.

doesn’t hurt to be on ELC tho sob sob, does colleges take into consideration that you were a possible candidate for ELC?

I doubt that colleges outside the UC system care that you didn’t make ELC. They’ll look at your stats, and that will be it.

it won’t affect u too much if u have good stats

I made ELC… It just guarantees you into one of the lower tier UC schools.

For the more selective colleges, its almost irrelevant. However, most the the acceptances to these schools are in the top 4 percent anyway due to their competitive nature.

For example, in the link below,
89.4 percent ELC acceptance for San Diego
60.6 percent for LA
56.2 percent for Berkeley

Which means 44.8 percent are rejected from Berkeley even with ELC status.
