Not many ECs at all....how much does it affect me?

I'm a regular member of two clubs, one which is completely non-serious, and the other is a debate club. The only EC I'm really into is the GSA, which I'm president of. I also was in the yearbook club freshmen year (should I even say that on applications?)

And that's it for my ECs. I'm still a junior, is there anything else I can do?

Volunteering isn't an option for me because of sad and depressing reasons I don't want to get into.

For the colleges you want to apply to, look at the common data set or collegedata.com’s admissions tab to see whether they consider ECs.

Many schools admit at least a part of their freshmen by formula (based on GPA, rank, and/or test scores).

if you have a job, that’s fine, too. If you’re helping to support your family, colleges will admire you.

The vast majority of colleges don’t factor in an applicant’s ECs. Depends if you’re targeting the very selective schools.
