Not meeting all UC transfer requirements...

I want to transfer to a UC but I've been at a CCC (California Community College) for two years because I haven't been able to decide what to major in. I have finally decided what I want to do now, but it requires 4 semesters of chemistry that I don't have (2 of gen. chem. and 2 of O. chem). I really don't want to keep going to the community college for two more years, so is there a way to pull strings and complete organic chemistry at the UC instead?

I work two jobs (one of which is a math tutor at a WASC accredited private school), I am the treasurer of the Math Club, a member of the Biology club, and I will have a 3.77 GPA when I transfer (hopefully). Also, I took plenty of AP's in High School and I plan to start volunteering at the local hospital ASAP.

DO I HAVE A CHANCE?

Depends where you go and how impacted the major is. However, it will put you at a disadvantage over those who do have pre-requisites completed. And, it will mean you will stay at a UC longer in order to finish those pre-reqs which means it will cost a lot more money.

Which UC are you planning to go to?

hmmm what do you want to do? You can always transfer as something related and then change majors (depending on the school) or minor in chemistry to get the chem done.
