Mcgill supposedly has SAT score minimum requirements: 620 reading, 560 math, 610 writing (1790 total), but according to scatterplots on several sites, some people get in with only a 1110. How is this possible? Does Mcgill actually consider areas other than GPA and test scores?

For American applicants, it is GPA and test scores only. Those are the minimum for the least selective faculties by the way. Life sciences has a minumum of 2010 and physical sciences and management are 1950.

The scatter diagrams are self reported stats and people have a tendency to lie.

Or perhaps they came from countries for which SAT scores were not required…

I’m planning to apply to Life Sciences with an SAT of 1990 (580 R, 720 M, 690 W) - so this means I’ll get automatically rejected? D:

Most of us internationals come from countries where all exams are standardized. The whole country sits the same exam, not like high schools in the U.S making their own stuff.

So, almost all internationals here at mcgill have never done or heard of the SAT, apart from the americans ofc.
