I've seen on this website that many people are involved in many clubs and activities. My school doesn't offer many clubs. I'm try to get involved in all the things that interest me.

But since I won't have that many clubs for my EC's and my EC's will probably lack because of this should I concentrate more on academics?

Also can anyone tell me any other ways to get some EC's.

Maybe you should check out some clubs/activities outside of your school- such as a youth volunteer group. Try to do some EC's that involve your school though- maybe NHS- or keep in mind you could always start a club if you could find a moderator and a few people who would be interested in joining (and you could put on your application that you were the president and founder of the club- i'm sure that would look good). Remember with your EC's that you don't have to do everything just make sure that with the things you do you put a lot of effort into them. Don't do something you absolutely do not want to do- i know w/ me that is sports lol.

ECs do not have to be school related (or sponsored). Do what you are interested in, it's nice to have something to show for it if possible, but sometimes it isn't possible. Also, don't over-extend yourself, pick a couple of things you are really interested in and pursue them.

If you really want to joining a club, look around your community and see what is available outside your school.

start a grammar club.

Yes, why don't you start a club in something you're interested in? That will show initiative and instantly give you a leadership position. You won't be penalized for your school's lack of activities, but if you have the chance to start something of your own, go for it!
