I'm actually quite young and still in the 8th grade. This is not really a chance thread but a how to have a good chance thread.

I have he major question regarding my role in bands that I've played in. I quite enjoy Jazz and playd in the Jazz band this year, on the tenor sax. I auditioned for it in my high school band, I didn't get in. It absolutely broke my heart. I also auditioned for Cncertband on the oboe which I've been playing for 2 years now, and like to think that I'm good at. I got into a nice rank, yet I didn't make he top bsnd, I am he freshman band I still beat an 11th grader who is joining me in my current band, oboist in the larger bsnd are all seniors I believe. I plan on taking Oboe extremely seriously next year, because I'm beggining to love the instrument more and more. What should I do? Pick up Jazz after Freshman year if I can? Or just focus all efforts onto Oboeandpossibly Oboe variants such as the English horn in the future? Or try and pick up the jazz instrument. I'm pretty confident with large amounts of practice, specially presumed, as well as private lessons with a professional I plan to take, I may be able to make all state, maybe all through my high school career. I saw the criteria for districts and it was extremely easy. I understand state will be a lot harder, but i have confidence in my ability. Ill also be playing in prep band which is mostly just a fun thing plying at basketball makes with the oboe and thn marching and, which ill probably play Percussion on. I already play piano, so I don't imagine any difficulty in small percussion instruments. The best high school oboist is graduating next year and she did marching band, as the percussion. She made all state 1st chair 3 years in a row. She is graduating as valedictorian. The main problem is is it too late to try and pick up Jazz? O shall I pursue it anyway? Wih colleges care abut this 1 year gap in my jazz career?

I'm also quite into sports, I've even swimming at state level for quite sometime, I actually sent to nationals, and did relatively well, specially since it was my first time. Yet my high school doesn't have an official male swimming team. Men are allowed to join in the female team and still participate in events, and such. Is this all right? Or shall I attempt to create my own high school boys swim team? Also what would I need to do this?

I'm also quite fond of Tennis hich I started a few months back. Tennis and marching band are in different seasons I believe, so ill ha no problem juggling those. It's just I don't want to overload myself and n high hook I really wanna prioritize with what I lie. But I love Swimming and band, yet I have this urge to add Tennis onto the mix as well. Is this a good idea?

My act scores I plan on bein eject perfection, ie already started taking ACT Lessons with a PHD in math whose already taught me a lot. I may or may not take the SAT later on.

I wanna pursue some sort of career in medicine, such as a surgeon, and my dream college I most likely John Hopkins.

In terms of classes what should I take to achieve my said dream? My school ones not offer many APs but ill most likely self study for ones that I need.

My dad has already made plans to have me shadow a few doctors, I i wish to pursue my said dream job.

Thanks for the help in advanced guys!
