Not reporting scores on Common App?

Friend of D would like to submit a rolling app this week but is taking the SAT next weekend and just tried the ACT also. She has taken the SAT before but wants to see if her score improves or if the ACT is better. Can she submit her Common App without listing any scores at all, and just send them when they arrive, or send the old ones if the new ones aren’t any better? Does it look funny to keep that section blank on the Common App?

I know that obviously the school won’t review the app until it’s complete, but the school has a rule that they won’t process their piece of it until the application is submitted, so she really wants them to get going on that.

Thanks for any advice on this!

Listing scores is optional so she can list any/all/none as she chooses. So a valid option is to submit the application without scores although the application will not likely be processed until the official score report is received.

Yes, she can send it without the scores and wait to send the scores when she gets them.
